Reviews available research on mastitis and discusses various predisposing factors. Differentiates symptoms of mastitis from those of engorgement, plugged ducts, and Candida infections. Provides management and treatment measures as well as preventative measures. Discusses the importance of using an antibiotic that is effective against mastitis as well as the importance of finishing the course of treatment.
